Muenster
In Wisconsin Muenster was one of the first semi-soft cheeses made by European immigrants in the 1800s, and americans quickly developed a taste for it. Wisconsin Muenster tastes milder and has a firmer texture helping it gain popularity as a great cheese for slicing. It has a mild to mellow flavor that gets creamier with age and a slightly elastic texture. Use in everything from sandwiches and burgers to casseroles and pizza. Goes well with apples and grapes, whole grain breads and crackers, mustard, sausage, pickles, and lager beers. Cut from 5-6 pound loaves, sold by the pound, weights vary.
